Cuteness Alert: Messenger Hosts World’s First Koala Room to Celebrate ‘Save the Koala Day’
Koalas are cute. Really cute. Sadly, these amazing creatures are also classified as vulnerable to extinction, one step down from endangered, which is why we’re teaming up with the Australian Koala Foundation to host the world’s first koala Messenger Room for Save the Koala Day, and you’re invited! Time to blow off that meeting and join one that will actually be fun. Viewers will witness a Room full of different koalas while their caretakers talk about their stories, their different personalities, and why it’s so important to save these beautiful animals. The Room will be broadcast live from Symbio Wildlife Park, and Koala lovers around the world are invited to tune in live into the Koala Room on the Australian Koala Foundation’s Facebook page starting at 7:00 p.m. (EST) on Thursday, Sept. 24 / 9:00am (AEST) September 25, 2020.
Cuddly koalas are loved all over the world and the Australian Koala Foundation has missed welcoming international guests to their park due to COVID-19 restrictions. Hosting this event will not only give people the opportunity to see these furry creatures up close but you’ll also be able to support their future by adopting your own koala! You can also visit the Australian Koala Foundation’s website to see who is available for adoption and help give your very own koala a brighter future!
During the Rooms live broadcast, viewers will catch a glimpse of a morning in the life of the resident koalas at Symbio Wildlife Park. They will see them doing what they do best; eating their diet of eucalyptus leaves, sleeping, and of course cuddling!
So make some time this Thursday, September 24th at 7:00pm (EST) / 9:00am (AEST) September 25th to tune in and help us save koalas!
