Steve Aoki and Travis Barker Team Up and Rock Out for an Exclusive Virtual Concert Now on Facebook, Instagram and Messenger with Watch Together 🤘🥁
Ever wonder how the world’s most talented musicians stay in touch? Well, Steve Aoki called his longtime friend and collaborator Travis Barker over Messenger video chat and invited him to his home to jam out–and we’ve got your front row seat. So assemble your crew because starting today, their exclusive virtual performance is available to watch together with friends in real-time on video chat via Instagram and Messenger.
During the concert, Steve and Travis will take us behind the scenes at Steve’s home and perform fan favorites like “Boneless,” “Why Are We So Broken,” “Halfway Dead,” and more!
How to Watch
To check out the full performance of “That Close with Steve & Travis,” with your friends on Messenger, simply start a video chat or Room, swipe up to access the menu, select ‘Watch Together’, and search for “That Close with Steve and Travis.” In an Instagram video chat, tap the media button in the bottom right and search for “That Close with Steve and Travis.” You can also view the episode on Facebook Watch, here. On Watch Together, you can check out all your favorite Facebook Watch videos, including music videos, TV shows, and movies, Instagram Reels and IGTV, plus original content with your friends and family in real-time.
New Soundmojis to Help You Rock Out
In collaboration with Steve and Travis, tomorrow we’re releasing two new limited-edition Soundmojis, a new feature that lets you send short sound clips in a Messenger chat.
Inspired by their own music, Steve created a special air horn effect for the 🤘emoji, while Travis performed a killer mini drum solo for his favorite emoji 🥁.
To check out Soundmojis, head to your Messenger app, start a chat, tap the smiley face to open the expressions menu and select the loudspeaker icon. From there, you can preview and send either Steve or Travis’ Soundmojis, or both!
Stickers Coming Soon
Along with the performance, on September 29, we’ll be launching “That Close,” a limited-edition animated sticker pack of Steve and Travis inspired by what went down during their set. From hugging it out 🤗, to jamming out 🎶, to Steve’s signature cake toss 🎂, you’ll want to send your friends all these stickers to express your excitement whenever you hear your favorite Steve or Travis song. To download the Messenger sticker pack, tap the smiley face in the text field, tap the marketplace button, and “That Close with Steve Aoki and Travis Barker” will appear within the Featured Sticker Store.
